SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IN-SERVICE TRAININGS
It is necessary arrange in-service trainings in the short term and refine curricula in the long term to make sure health staff are equipped with appropriate knowledge and skills for services.
The indicators for in-service training are as below:
It is expected to reach the following results by the end of the programme:
1. Number of training centers suuplied with training equipment necessary for SRH trainings / medical equipment
2. Number of centers that provide TOT
3. Number of staff trained in training centers.
Activities:
Appropriate training equipment support for reproductive health training centers.
Nationally, every province is expected to provide training for its staff on necessary topics. Therefore, 75 health facilities will be turned into Reproductive Health Training Centers (RHTC) to train service providers in reproductive health. These training centers will be supported with medical and training equipment to ascertain they provide sufficient clinical services and train service providers. An inventory study was conducted for this purpose and training centers will be provided necessary equipment.
* Setting up reproductive health training centers
* Identifying and arranging 75 training centers that are going to be supported at national level

These training centers will train service providers in safe motherhood, family planning, STI-HIV/AIDS, youth and management of RH services for increased knowledge, attitude and skills.
Setting up regional training centers that will carry out training of trainers
The training centers should at all times have trainers in sufficient number and train more of them when the need emerges. Therefore, the Regional RH Training Centers will, in addition to the training for service providers, train trainers for the training centers that fall within the scope of their regions in addition to providing SRH clinical services. The Regional Training Centers will also conduct M&E of trainings in provincial training centers.

Training of trainers in reproductive health training centers
3 participants from each RH training center will be trained in development of teaching skills and reproductive health training package and then will serve as reproductive health trainers. These trainers will provide training to health staff of health centers and MCH/FP centers in various components of reproductive health (safe motherhood services, emergency obstetrics, family planning, STI counseling and youth counseling).
In addition, two participants from reproductive health training centers will be trained in developing training programmes and M&E of trainings.

* Setting up – implementation on M&E of training system.
Completed Activities:
• A situation analysis including in-service trainings, availability of training centers, training performance and supplies has been completed together with a report.
• 75 Reproductive Health Training Centers were identified at national level including at least one center in each of the programme provinces in order to provide SRH training to service providers.
• Provincial/Regional Training Center evaluation form was developed for the situation analysis of training centers
• An activity to develop a directive started to set working procedures and principles of regional and provincial RH training centers and trainers.
• Activities started to set up training centers in 12 regions countrywide to carry out TOT in SRH counseling and clinical skills in order to provide trainers in training centers with teaching skills, ensure sustainability of trainers and institutionalize trainers.
• The tender for the training of thrainers that going to work in regional/provincial RH training centers is at signing stage.
• Training equipment required for training centers were identified and the tender process is continuing.
